Developed a gateway interface between a legacy defect tracking system and
Clarify's ClearQuality product quality management system. Tasks included
designing and implementing a bi-directional gateway to transfer issues
between the two systems utilizing the Clarify API Toolkit to interface with the
underlying Sybase database. Also developed a web-based query tool to
remotely view issues in ClearQuality and several installation tools to modify
the Clarify database to incorporate modifications related to the gateway
interface.
Web Developer/Peer Counselor
Designed and constructed web forms to process Graduate Applications through
the Internet. Implemented CGI scripts using HTML, Perl and SQL to
enable the web form to interact directly with an Informix database. Also
responsible for academic counseling of undergraduate students in
the UCLA School of Engineering and Applied Science.
Software Developer
Developed installation software for software product on a
Windows NT 4.0 environment using InstallShield.
Issues included the manipulation of the registry and appropriate
setup of the environment.
Utilized makefile and additional Kornshell programming.
Also, developed demonstration program and benchmark program to display
the properties of a software bus product. Implemented projects using
Visual Basic 4.0, incorporating OLE automation server and various OLE
object models.
Software Developer
Designed and implemented a quality assurance library tool. Development
process included learning a proprietary language, establishing
specifications, designing algorithm, implementing code, and verifying
code through inspection.
Software Developer
Developed software to run an emulation of a hardware device using C
for the Quickturn Emulation System. Emulation testing included issues
in computer architecture, interrupt handling, asynchronous timing,
device interfacing, and device arbitration using MS Visual C++.
Documented method to design SCSI device driver for Windows NT operating
system.
Operations Technician
Wrote programs in C to automate processes such as converting
graphical database files, transferring information from flat
file to database, and updating tables with data SQL/ReportWriter.
Used ARC/Info to modify and plot map files.
Software Interface Developer - "MicroMouse"
Designed test software and implemented algorithms to run an autonomous
robot for intercollegiate competition. Also, doubled funding for
project through negotiations with department officials.
